Website // Changelog

A cleaned-up record of what changed, which ideas pivoted, and how AggieQuant moved from early resources into the current terminal-style operating system. Reviewed against GitHub commits through June 7, 2026.

Source Method

Discord notes plus commit history, converted into a product log

The raw GitHub feed includes real website work, experiments, reversions, and many scheduled internship scraper refreshes. This changelog keeps the product decisions visible while grouping the automated job-data commits into one ongoing data-feed note.

01// CURRENT_SHAPE

Start Path

The site now routes newcomers through a toolkit, guides hub, bootcamp path, course map, track guidance, and a plan builder.

Recruiting Desk

Recruiting pages center the timeline, firm database, interview prep plan, and a live opportunity board with freshness filters.

Pods and Partners

Project pods, prediction-market docs, sponsor pages, and application paths now make the club feel like an operating system instead of a static brochure.

02// MAJOR_PIVOTS

Resource Library to Guided OS

Pivot: guides stopped being a pile of links and became stage, track, recruiting, and course-map routing.

Competition First to Lab Selective

Pivot: Riverboat Broker and quant games were polished, then public competition surfaces were narrowed while project/pod work became the main build story.

Visual Experiments to Terminal v2

Pivot: animated transitions, violet/gold colors, waves, and background art were tried, then the site settled into a lean terminal/stitch shell.

Static Links to Live Data

Pivot: career links became a tracked opportunity board with direct apply URLs, role metadata, watchlist behavior, and scheduled scraper updates.

Single Gate to Two Paths

Pivot: membership split into General Body access plus a screened Core Program, with admin tooling and staged invite support behind it.

Club Site to Partner Surface

Pivot: Jane Street, HRT, PEAK6, prospectus files, sponsor tiers, and event recaps turned partner credibility into a first-class website lane.

Foundation Sprint

Tracks, guides, team identity, and Riverboat Broker polish

Early work improved track pages, rebuilt guides by career lane, added officer headshots/contact links, launched Discord visibility, and focused the competition hub on a stronger Riverboat Broker tutorial.

  • Added Green Book, research PDFs, Amazon-linked books, and degree guidance to guide tracks.
  • Made guide dropdown state persist so returning users keep context.
  • Refined logos, favicon, mobile competition UI, and difficulty reset behavior.

  • Added guide-to-track navigation and backend password verification.
  • Added 15 tentative events across workshops, prep, career development, and community.
  • Optimized Lighthouse basics with async fonts, deferred scripts, and reflow fixes.

Resource Architecture

Guide revamp, sub-pages, course map, firm database, and style tests

Guides were split into stronger sub-pages, the TAMU course map and firm database appeared, and the team tested several visual directions before trimming back the noisier ones.

  • Added interactive quant dictionary, course map, firm database, apply FAQ, and track-colored prep UI.
  • Tested a violet/gold palette, hero art, wave dividers, and track art, then reverted or removed what felt off.
  • Improved mobile spacing and made tracks, teams, events, guides, and prep pages easier to scan.

Interaction Layer

Search, track finder, progress tracking, and internship tracker

AggieQuant became more interactive: users could search, take a track quiz, get recommended events, save checklist progress, and browse a rapidly expanding internship tracker.

  • Added site search, track finder, progress tracking, and saved-path behavior.
  • Built the quant finance internship tracker with direct apply links and expanding scraper coverage.
  • Improved dropdown navigation, grouped nav behavior, role metadata, watchlist, and priority/freshness filters.

Sponsors and Applications

TransMarket event, sponsor page, student QoL, games, and applications

The site grew from a learning hub into a public-facing club platform with sponsor pages, alumni speaker events, minigames, and a stronger application flow.

  • Added TransMarket Group alumni speaker event and sponsor tier pages with Jane Street polish.
  • Made quant games public and expanded onboarding around practical student workflows.
  • Revamped and streamlined applications, including staged applicant portal work.

Partner Credibility and Pods

HRT, event recaps, virtual exchange, pod starters, and nav cleanup

This stretch pushed the club closer to a real operating model: partner credibility, recaps, project pods, virtual exchange work, and cleaner navigation.

  • Added Jerry Kurtin fireside chat, HRT partner sponsor status, and event recap pages.
  • Started virtual exchange work with matching engine, bots, market regimes, and scenarios.
  • Added project pods, starter kits, suggestions portal, pod framework, and updated internship firm coverage.

Pre-v2 Refocus

Club/toolkit navigation, email alerts, pod docs, prediction market lab, and terminal homepage

The site tightened around fewer, clearer hubs. Some public competition surfaces were hidden or re-scoped, while pod docs and prediction-market work became more concrete.

  • Simplified navigation around club and toolkit hubs, application confirmations, and open application anchors.
  • Added summer 2027 internship email alerts and improved pod system documentation.
  • Built prediction market demos, multi-book exchange work, and the first terminal-inspired homepage direction.

v2 Rollout

Terminal desktop, voice guide, stitch shell, recruiting surfaces, and accessibility cleanup

The v2 refresh landed. The homepage and public pages moved to a terminal/stitch design system, the site voice was normalized, and later commits simplified clutter after the first rollout.

  • Rebuilt homepage as a terminal desktop, then simplified it into events, sponsor logos, live clock, and price tick signal.
  • Applied the stitch shell to public pages, upgraded old UI surfaces, and refreshed pods, guides, and events pages.
  • Reduced clutter, improved accessibility, simplified internship tracker surfaces, and replaced resume upload with resume URL.

Hardening and Newcomer Access

Audits, forms, invite pipeline, deployment stability, PEAK6, and mobile polish

After v2, the work moved into reliability: audits, form hardening, deployment stability, clearer newcomer routes, and sponsor surface consistency.

  • Fixed audit issues, hardened forms, and stabilized Vercel/shared shell behavior.
  • Added staged application invite pipeline and admin controls, including manual invite links when email is unavailable.
  • Added PEAK6 as a partner sponsor, promoted leadership, and fixed mobile touch targets/layout.

Membership and Sponsorship Cleanup

Two membership paths, recruiting funnel, bootcamp waves, and prospectus packages

The site clarified who should join how. General Body and Core Program paths became distinct, recruiting took over the primary funnel, and sponsorship materials were cleaned up.

  • Simplified application review, fixed UI states, cleaned up final interview flow, and hardened API submissions.
  • Added membership path split, General Body form/admin intake, and Wave 1/2 bootcamp clarity.
  • Updated sponsorship prospectus packages, cards, and layout balance.

Data Feed Cadence

Automated internship refreshes continue while product work pauses

The GitHub commits page after late May is mostly scheduled opportunity-board refreshes. Those commits keep listings fresh, but they are intentionally collapsed here so the changelog stays readable.

  • Latest reviewed scraper commit: June 7, 2026 at 14:09 UTC.
  • Data refresh commits preserve the live opportunity board without implying a new website release each time.
  • Future product updates should be added here as release notes, with data refreshes summarized by cadence.
